I don’t know when my last post was but it’s been a while, and for that I am very sorry.  I have been doing other things these past few weeks.  Watching the world through a very observant eye, watching more then contributing as my post history illustrates.  But there’s more to life then blogging yes you guessed it- Facebook.

I got a new camera right around Easter- a DVX100b, that’s kept me busy. I shot a bunch of test footage and put together a video of what was best which was not to much as the video attests. Check it here. It’s been on the site for a good two weeks now but like I said I have been in a real non-posting mood.

This is Captain Travis Fantina signing off.

I was recently introduced to an online phenomenon- and possibly one of the greatest videos ever to be put on Youtube (or at least in the top 500).  When I first witnessed this amazing piece of television turned Youtube video I did get it, it was if my mind was unable to comprehend the greatness. However as the end of the video drew near I burst out laughing uncontrollably and every-time I have viewed it sense it has had the same effect on me. You may not find it funny you may think I’m an idiot for liking it in fact to be honest I have no clue why I can’t stop laughing at it. Anyway here it is watch it and laugh or just sit there puzzled at why I would waste time to post this;

On a side note I have to agree with the kid turtles are awesome- however I actually prefer vampires over zombies.

I never finished with my thoughts on the Oscar winners- but I don’t think anybody read it anyway.

On another note- much more serious yesterday I saw Elvis. Live out side the pizza parlor. We were out trying to get some good Tri-State style pizza (if you don’t live in the tri-state area, or have never left tri-state area you won’t get it), anyway while we were waiting for our food I was sitting in the car and I looked over to a near by connivence store and saw Elvis walking in- yes the king of flip’en rock and roll was standing about twenty feet from the car! He was a bit shorter then I remember and he had gained some weight but other then that his hair side burns and glasses were in good form. I wanted to take a picture but he left before I could whip out my phone- the king’s elusive.

Umm, in 2 hours it will be 2008, I really don’t have any plans but I thought I would give a eulogy for 2007.  It’s on it’s way out, and it seems that only yesterday it was 2006.  Good bye 2007 we wish you well in you’re ventures.

We now return to one of my favorite things to complain about; traveling by plain.  Really, why the deuce is it so hard to get from point A to point B?  Maybe the flying gods are punishing me because I make fun of it so much but it really seems like the ‘friendly’ skys are against me.

Yesterday my day began early, too early we caught a cab to the airport at five-thirty, or six something like that.  Then you wait in line- this happens to everybody so I’m not complaining, after waiting in line for ridiculous amounts of time the flyer (also known as the Passenger), steppes into the anti-privacy zone.  This is where air port security will ask you to remove as much clothing as possible (keeping it PG-13 and under) while prodding you with there magic wand. After arriving in Vancouver I sat for a good four or five hours before finally getting on the plain to Toronto.  The flight to Toronto arrived in Vancouver on the lateish side but then they towed it to the wrong gate then after we all rushed to the right gate and got on the plain a mom and her two kids decided to get off.  I would not have minded too much if they did not have luggage, but they did; so the hundred or so passengers on the flight to Toronto had to wait for the crew to open the cargo hold and find this lady’s crap! COME ON! Sorry ma’am but you’re status as queen does not apply in this airport. By this time it was almost guaranteed we would miss the connection to Newark.  We did.  So ‘Air Canada’ put us up in a local hotel by the name of ‘Travelodge’.

I got to sleep around 12:30 then awoke to the 4:30 wake up call- good sleep. The flight from Toronto to Newark was pretty good and I got to finnish watching ‘The Invasion’ in the seat back TV.

I know it sounds like complaining but really I’m not, sure I get inconvenienced a lot in air ports, a lot. But really I arrived to my final destination in one piece, (one living piece I might add) and I would not have that any other way.

This is truly a sad commentary on our world- The Pillow Pal! Now don’t get me wrong there have been many nights when I have been holding my remote and found myself saying ‘Oh gee if only I had a place to put this!’. That’s not the sad part the sad part is really that the whole idea of this is geared towards guns. Honestly a phrase like this- “I have slept many nights with the uneasy feeling of my husband insisting on sleeping with his gun under his pillow” has got to scare even the most fearless dare devils out there. The gun under the pillow? Really I mean paranoia, and that’s not even the worst part, HASN’T ANYBODY EVER HEARD OF AN END TABLE! If you really feel it necessary to sleep with a gun you might think of putting it on he end table. It’s much easer to grab something that’s right next to you on a table then reach down at you’re wast and fondle around for this thing that’s attached to some holster that’s attached to a board that sticks under you’re mattress (I’m not even going to start on how un-ergonomic this is).I first heard of this insanity from Dave Barry and his Holiday Gift Guide

Just checking in no big news.  My film was supposed to play at a show tonight but did not because of technical difficulties. Lame man.

Several designers have told me that my website is ugly, I really don’t care, if you like it then fine if not then fine I like it so I really don’t care. Yes I know neon green is not the best color for websites and the layout is very plain but I tried several different ways and besides I make movies not websites.  Maybe someday I’ll switch it up however for now it may make you’re eyes bleed.
