Welcome to the new and improved travisfantina.com, or travisfantina.com 3.0. Whatever you want to call it it’s a brand new look with the same great content.

The first thing you will probably notice is that no matter what page you’re on it looks the same, as opposed to the old version where my blog looked a bit different then the rest of the site. Also you’ve probably noticed some of the cute little animals that are scattered around, and Kilroy who not only was here but still is here.

I’m using a sweet wordpress theme- the i3Theme by Mangoorange which allows for some pretty cool functionality. For example the two side bars: notice the little green arrows, if you don’t like one of the widgets or just won’t it cluttering up the page just hit that green arrow to minimize it. You can also change the order of the sidebars by grabbing the top and dragging one above the other. Give it a shot!

Hello,

It’s been about a month sense I’ve pulled the motivation out from under my chair to post something here. But I am still alive and I DO still know how to use the computer, (to prove I am still online regularly you href can check out my twitter or behindthefilms.net which is my blog).

In the past month I had the opportunity to help shoot a wedding with Film Style Weddings, I also helped Sky Blue Productions shoot a music video.

I have also been doing a fair bit of blogging for the aforementioned behindthefilms.net. What is this Behind The Films you ask? BTF is a fairly new (our first post was July of last year) blog which reports the latest movie news. So for about an hour every day I crawl around in the internets looking for movie related news then I post it away saving our readers the trouble of doing all that crawling around in the dusty corners of the webernet.

Thanks for reading, if I see a film soon (which I hope to) I will be sure to post a nice review as always.

Ok when I say ‘Our’ I actually mean ‘my’ but you get the idea.  Anyway just to let you know what happened to the blog I was messing around with the ‘Phoenixblue’ theme and I messed up the footer which intern messed up the header  (go figure) so now it looks kind of like  Web 2.0 alphabet soup.  So I threw this default Wordpress theme up there until I can fix Phoenixblue which should take a few days (hopefully).

January 12th update, sorry, I have been quite busy with behindthefilms.net as well as a large editing project.  I have not had time to work on this and I don’t think I will for possibly the next two weeks.  In the mean time I will keep posting in this template .

January 17th update- well I re-installed the theme then copied my old modified style-sheet  into it- worked fine.  Copied my header code in and that’s when it broke, so the problem is with my header or with the CSS code that makes the header tick, I’m so tired I can hardly thing so I will continue working on this on monday.  Good night!

January 27th update- well I got the Phoenix Blue theme back to normal- I still need to apply the website’s style to it but that will have to wait.

Ok well it’s all fixed when I get some time over the next few months I will be making some small changes (hopefully without breaking anything). But at least it looks like the rest of the site.

Just a quick post to let everybody know I set up Lightbox on the blog. Basically Lightbox allows you to view full size images without ever leaving the page.

You may notice that my blog is no longer what it once was, I have removed most of the irrelevant posts in favor of content that some people may actually want to read. (Bold and italics for an extra dose of emphasis). Don’t worry I’ve kept all my hard written posts on my server in hopes that some day I will have a use for them, not sure when though.

You also may have noticed that the main page of the website has under gone a big redesign, the old design was tired and worn, so I reworked it, in essence the layout is still the same but it’s sleeker, less clunky and some other words that people only use to describe cars.

As of right now, 6:55 on October third, I have not give the blog the full redesign it deserves, however trust me that is coming SOOON. I like the way it is now even less then you do! So check back over the coming days and weeks for a nicer cleaner template with hopefully lots of fun plugins.

I don’t know when my last post was but it’s been a while, and for that I am very sorry.  I have been doing other things these past few weeks.  Watching the world through a very observant eye, watching more then contributing as my post history illustrates.  But there’s more to life then blogging yes you guessed it- Facebook. 

I got a new camera right around Easter- a DVX100b, that’s kept me busy. I shot a bunch of test footage and put together a video of what was best which was not to much as the video attests. Check it here. It’s been on the site for a good two weeks now but like I said I have been in a real non-posting mood.

I’ve had some crazy times- I now reside in Watterloo ON, but it’s been a crazy move and it’s not over yet!  So if my postings are a bit irregular don’t worry I was not abducted by aliens who only let me blog once a week it’s just life is very crazy and I am not sure how much I am going to be able to blog in the next month- so if this is my final post for the hiatus I wish you all a fond farewell and I shall see you later.

I took my laptop down to the shop today so they could install Leopard on it, normally that’s something I’d do myself but they are all out of it right now so he said he’d just install it with his disk then when he got a new shipment he’d give it to me on hard disk.  So for tonight I am using a foreign computer, it’s in the kitchen but I don’t have any of my documents or music on it . It’s not a big deal but now I have to find something to do that does not involve my computer like read a book… Or better yet I’ll watch a movie!
