New Footage Yay Youtube!

I went to this on Tuesday night, and really enjoyed it. It’s been a long time sense I saw ‘Casino Royale’ so I don’t want to compare the two. ‘Quantum’ moves very fast as it should jumping from one awesome car chase to an awesome foot chase to a boat chase and that’s only about the first half hour. I don’t want to make it seem like nothing but chases, there is an excellent plot which strings all the action together rather nicely. My one complaint about some of the action sequences would be what some call the ‘geography’, sometimes in the fight or chase scenes were a bit hard to follow, due to the rapid cuts and camera pans (almost like Bourne films). I only really noticed this in the first few action scenes and by about the third or fourth chase I had gotten used to it and began to like it.

I said I did not want to compare this to ‘Casino Royale’ but I will in terms of mood. That film was very dark for a Bond film, ‘Quantum of Solace’ on the other hand is not as dark I’m not saying it’s shallow or not as good just not as dark. In ‘Quantum’ 007 does not get tangled up in a complex romance, tortured or have any brutal fights in restrooms.

It’s a lot of fun chases and shooting and explosions strung together with a strong and intriguing plot.
