We now return to one of my favorite things to complain about; traveling by plain. Really, why the deuce is it so hard to get from point A to point B? Maybe the flying gods are punishing me because I make fun of it so much but it really seems like the ‘friendly’ skys are against me.
Yesterday my day began early, too early we caught a cab to the airport at five-thirty, or six something like that. Then you wait in line- this happens to everybody so I’m not complaining, after waiting in line for ridiculous amounts of time the flyer (also known as the Passenger), steppes into the anti-privacy zone. This is where air port security will ask you to remove as much clothing as possible (keeping it PG-13 and under) while prodding you with there magic wand. After arriving in Vancouver I sat for a good four or five hours before finally getting on the plain to Toronto. The flight to Toronto arrived in Vancouver on the lateish side but then they towed it to the wrong gate then after we all rushed to the right gate and got on the plain a mom and her two kids decided to get off. I would not have minded too much if they did not have luggage, but they did; so the hundred or so passengers on the flight to Toronto had to wait for the crew to open the cargo hold and find this lady’s crap! COME ON! Sorry ma’am but you’re status as queen does not apply in this airport. By this time it was almost guaranteed we would miss the connection to Newark. We did. So ‘Air Canada’ put us up in a local hotel by the name of ‘Travelodge’.
I got to sleep around 12:30 then awoke to the 4:30 wake up call- good sleep. The flight from Toronto to Newark was pretty good and I got to finnish watching ‘The Invasion’ in the seat back TV.
I know it sounds like complaining but really I’m not, sure I get inconvenienced a lot in air ports, a lot. But really I arrived to my final destination in one piece, (one living piece I might add) and I would not have that any other way.

We’re sorry for the terrible inconvenience of modern transportation. It’s got to be better than handcart!
